When you buy SimAssist, the tool comes with an individual range of functions.
You decide which features you really need – you can, of course, also license new functions at any time, and thereby configure the software in line with your requirements.
The 4base module is the basic SimAssist module and is included in all license packages. It contains, among other things, the Frame Application, and therefore the frame that comprises all modules.
Below is a list of all modules and the associated plug-ins that can be licensed.

Information Python Preamble: The licensor produces digital simulation solutions for production and logistics, including the modular platform SimAssist. This is used for the management, analysis, visualization and documentation of data. Users can make use of a large number of customizable plug-ins, which can be arranged and used as desired for specific projects without affecting the functionality of the overall software. SimAssist uses different software components in the individual plug-ins, including Python and Python libraries. The following clauses regulate the use of SimAssist by the Licensee, taking into account the applicable Python license terms.
1. Integration of Python in SimAssist Starting with SimAssist release 6.1, which the Licensor will deliver as of 08/01/2022, Python open source software will be integrated into the SimAssist platform. Therefore, a Python installation on the user's computer is required to use the SimAssist plug-ins Python Statements and SimClient. The user must independently download the code for the installation from the Python homepage. The same applies to the use of Python libraries or Python packages, which are required for the scripts delivered by the licensor. The user must also download these himself.
2. Obligation to comply with the Python license conditions The Licensee undertakes to the Licensor to comply with the applicable Python license terms. The license terms will be made available to users upon download from the Python homepage. For a successful download it is usually necessary that the user confirms to Python that he/she accepts and complies with the license terms. By entering into this agreement, the licensee also agrees to comply with the license terms applicable to Python vis-à-vis the licensor. At the time of the conclusion of this agreement, the respective applicable Python license terms are available at the following link.
3. Release from liability Licensee shall indemnify Licensor internally against any liability arising from Licensee's breach of the Python License Terms. In the event of a breach by Licensee and a resulting claim against Licensor by the Python Software Foundation or other entities responsible for the Python Software Terms (hereinafter: "Python"), Licensee releases Licensor from any liability. Licensee agrees to assume liability in the event of a claim against Licensor by Python as a result of Licensee's violation of the Python License Terms. |
SimView Licenses
SimView licenses that include maintenance can be automatically upgraded on the release of new versions; licenses that do not include maintenance will incur a surcharge for this (cost available on request).
Existing SimView scripts can be imported to SimAssist seamlessly using the SimView plug-in, where they can continue to be used. All plug-ins can be tested for free for a limited period (1 month).
All the plug-ins available are described in detail in the Modules and Plug-ins chapter, where their use in practice is also explained on the basis of example use cases
Test Licenses
All plug-ins can be tested for a limited time (1 month) free of charge.
In the chapter Modules and Plug-ins all available plug-ins are described in detail and their operation by means of exemplary use cases is explained practically.

Information Single user licenses with dongle or MAC address If SimAssist is used with a dongle or MAC address license, this license must be on the respective computer. It is not possible to access the license and run SimAssist from a virtual machine (VM). |
SimNote-Editor
XML templates can be created for the SimNote plug-in either manually or using an Editor. You can find instructions for the manual creation of templates in the SimNote instructions in this SimAssist help document.
To simplify and accelerate the creation of templates, you can choose to license the Editor (cost available on request).
