Access to databases is via database providers, which need to be installed in the system for the relevant database.
Which providers are required for which databases is listed briefly below.
For a detailed description of the relevant database connections and corresponding instructions, refer to the Database definition section

The OLE DB Provider for Microsoft® Jet is used here. This provider is generally pre-installed on a Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10/11 system
Microsoft Access 2007/2010/2013 (accdb)(SimAssist 64bit)
Microsoft Access Database Engine 2007/2010/2013 (32-bit version) is used here
|

When working with oracle-databases, 32 bit Oracle Client 11.2.0.3 and Oracle Data Provider for .Net 11.2.0.3.0 (part of Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC)) must be installed.
•64-bit ODAC 12.2c Release 1 (12.2.0.1.0) for Windows x64 (Download)
ODBC
For ODBC connections, on the other hand, it depends on the database used. See the descriptions above.
