Information:

Installation of the WIBU-KEY-Software

All drivers required by the relevant operating system for using WIBU-KEY can be installed automatically using the installation software.

To install the software, you first need to close all other Windows programs, in particular those protected with WIBU-KEY, as it may otherwise not be possible to replace all files with the latest version.

Launch the WkRuntime.exe program and follow the instructions for the software. The installation program indicates the operating system detected and lists the files required for using WIBU-KEY on this system.

When you choose Next, all required files are copied to the hard drive and, where applicable, are installed. Once installation is complete, a new WIBU-KEY icon will appear in the control panel.

Once this control panel applet has been launched, the content of the connected WIBU-BOX should be displayed.

If an error occurs during installation or launch of the control panel applet, you will need to restart the operating system and run the installation again

Information:

Uninstallation of the WIBU-KEY-Software

The WIBU-KEY driver files can be automatically uninstalled from Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, provided they have been properly installed using the WIBU-KEY Runtime Kit.

In the control panel, choose Software (Windows XP), Programs and Functions (Windows Vista and 7) or Programs and Features

(Windows 8/10). Select the entry WIBU-KEY Remove and then choose Change/Remove (Windows XP) or Uninstall/Change (Windows Vista/7/8/10) to start the uninstall process.

This removes all driver files, the WIBU-KEY icon in the control panel and the entries in the registration database
